Ronald Lubcher
Laboratory Safety Technician I

 

Ronald Lubcher is a Senior Environmental Consultant with over 25 years of environmental and safety experience.  He began his professional career as a Chemistry and Science teacher and has had extensive experience in the environmental industry with varying degrees of responsibility and authority.  Ron has been a hazardous materials field chemist, environmental regulator for the State of Maryland, operations manager for a hazardous waste disposal firm, department head of environmental assessments for a national consulting company, and a program manager and training coordinator for a regional consulting organization.  His most recent employment has been as a laboratory safety technician at George Mason University on a part-time basis. 

Ron became a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager in 1985 and was elected as a fellow of the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM) in 1996 for his contributions to the IHMM.   He is currently serving as the chairperson of the Board of Ethics and has served six years on the Board of Examiners.  He was also a founding member of the National Capital Chapter of the Academy of Certified Hazardous Materials Managers and has held several officer positions.  Ron has been a member of the American Chemical Society since 1974 and was recently recognized the by Fairfax County for his volunteer service to the community.
