Tony Klisiewicz
Laboratory Safety Technician II

 

Tony Klisiewicz joined Office of Laboratory Safety in 2002 as a Lab Safety Specialist and currently serves as an Laboratory Safety Technician II, overseeing laboratory safety equipment inspection and maintenance, laboratory safety equipment training, laboratory security, and laboratory signs.  In addition, Tony’s work includes the consolidation and conversion of Office of Laboratory Safety compliance records to an interactive database that will greatly enhance and streamline record keeping for the office.

Tony holds OSHA 40 Hour Hazardous Waste Site Operator certification and is trained in Laboratory Biosecurity Principles and Laboratory Biosecurity Program Management through the American Biological Safety Association.  In addition, he has completed training through Harvard University’s Department of Environmental Health in Practical Applications of Industrial Hygiene.

Tony is in the process of completing his Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in Health & Physical Education.
